This unique dual-bay adapter enclosure allows you to install two 2.5″ solid-state drives (SSDs) or hard drives (HDDs) into a single 3.5″ drive bay, making it a cost-effective solution for upgrading legacy systems like desktop PCs and servers. It mimics the form, fit, and function of a standard 3.5″ hard drive, including the SATA connector locations and standard mounting holes, for easy integration. A key feature is the integrated hardware RAID controller, which provides improved performance or data redundancy. Users can select their preferred mode (RAID 0, RAID 1, Spanning, or JBOD) via a simple switch. RAID 0 stripes the two drives together for faster read and write speeds, while RAID 1 mirrors the data for secure, real-time data backup. Spanning combines the total capacity of both drives into one larger volume, and JBOD presents both drives as individual storage units. This enclosure supports SATA I, II, and III with transfer speeds of up to 6Gbps and is compatible with 2.5″ drives up to 9.5mm in height. The tool-less installation makes adding or swapping drives a quick and simple process. Housed in a durable aluminum and plastic enclosure, it provides robust protection for the installed drives.
